The Tech to Expect in 2022
Fads come and go with technology and that’s why here at Mi-Token we want the best consumer information there is to make sure our customers are getting their moneys worth. The research conducted in this article is based in a New York Times article about the topic of technology in 2022. In the article Brian X. Chen explains that “trends” appear again and again because technology tends to take a long time to mature before people start gaining interest for it, so don’t be surprised to see trends that have been pushed before show up again. Namely virtual reality, expected to be front and center in this years new Facebook enterprise “the metaverse.”And lets not forget the side note situation of the so-called smart home, “the technology to control home appliances by shouting voice commands at a speaker or tapping a button on a smartphone.”
The short and sweet reality of all these products is that the tech industry has been trying to push these products for more than a decade, but this year they may be finally practical to own.
The last two tech trends to see expansion in this year is the topic of connected health and electric cars. This years innovation within the connected health arena begins with Oura, a new health tech company, released a new ring that tracks body temperature to accurately predict menstruation. Most astoundingly the company Moving unveiled a similar ring that promises to detect potential chronic illnesses. Game changing technology that could actually be implemented into our daily lives. Lastly President Biden released an announcement of an ambitious goal to push half of all vehicles sold in the United States to be electric rather than gas-powered by 2030. Ford and General Motors are already unveiling electric car projects but the article explains from a Ms. Milanesi that they most likely won’t catch on because people simply aren’t seeing charging stations for anyone else except Tesla who have been unveiling charging stations for year.
So now it’s up to you to decide for your privacy and your comfort what new technology will you ring in the new year with?
